I rarely care for the author's opinion. I have that thing where, when I like an author to a really stupid degree, whenever I see them voicing their opinion on, I don't know, cream pie, I read it and regard it as the voice of God. Unless of course I don't agree with it, or even worse, find it idiotic -- I'm always disappointed when my favourite writers turn out to be really pukey outwith their fiction, and then my soul is broken a little. Which is probably why I should avoid acknowledging authors' existence outwith what they write, I guess.

Might be my weird take on social standards, but I rather feel it's common courtesy to not ignore a very large part of an entry, especially when it's a fic, especially when it's Saiyuki. :D
