Bloody hell!

keire_keSo, I planned to write a short, sweet Narnia fic, ~2k max, of Edmund and Caspian having a drunken conversation atop a tower. About 1k was written, when it was obvious it needs continuation in the form of a reunion on board the ship.
Yeah. 7k later I am now roughly 400 words into what looks like an extensive, angsty and slightly awkward lemon. Bugger all this for a larke, really. This is also the least linear fic I've ever written, as I'm writing it in two places at once. At this point 10k is a very conservative estimate. Frankly, the more I write the more needs to be addressed, and friggin' hell, what happened to fics that were mindless porny fun (though mindless fun also plays a part)?
In other news, exam session is nearing, and while I'm reasonably confident about most of my subjects (Spectrometry, though the lectures make me stare at the presentation slack-jawed, has been confirmed as a relatively easy exam, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology will not present much of a trouble, Physical Chemistry I am reasonably confident I passed already), Quantum Physics ... Yeah. That.
