One more essay to go...
Finally got round to watching Gankutsuou. This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is some Weird Shit. And I mean seriously My Last Dream weird. o.O Very good so far, though. Of course, managed only to see the first two eps, so am not one to talk. There is a lot of cute slashiness though. ^___^ Franz fancies Albert a lot. Albert fancies Monte Christo a lot too. In how many other genre's of anime one of main characters blushes slightly seeing the main character for the first time? And can somebody please tell me:
- Why the Japanese are so fascinated with Christian symbols? (X is one thing, but here - the crosses, the exacution thingy...)
- Why every anime must contain a character about "It was a boy??!!" can be said? And I don't mean my mum's comments regarding Duo.
Knowing what I know about the Count of Monte Christo, I had a distinctive feeling he wants to present Mercedes with the head of Albert on a silver platter. I feel for him, though. People play him like he is a puppet. Oh, he's gonna be sooo pissed.
Anyway, regarding Albert's head on a silver platter:
"Ah, Mercedes. Congratulations, it is your anniversary today."
A really quick pencil sketch. Will, most likely, be inked and coloured - it's the most coloured-pencilable anime I have ever seen.
Susan Sto Helit from Discworld series.
Really quick as well. I'm not all that brilliant with drawing semi-realistic people, when have no live model. Not that am all that perfect with a model either. Will stick to anime, for the time being.
Oookay, if I get down to writing the damn essay, I just might squeeze in another episode of Gankutsuou. That is, if my LotRish ficcy doesn'y swallow me first, although it would appear I am stuck for now. Duo is giving me trouble, annoying little bugger that he is. >.<
