Case in point, I got a review for Skidding Down The Sliding Scale (or, the one in which Alex is convinced Erik is what happened when Satan mated with the shark mother from Jaws IV), which stated in no uncertain terms that they thought Alex was being reasonable and Erik has no reason to be butthurt over it. Heh. I knew there was a reason I privately dubbed it "the meta on fandom characterisation". Actions do not a personality make.
Random drive-by hate for things encountered in fiction: the distinction between "big spoon" and "little spoon" when referring to a spooning couple. It always makes me think people using it don't own two spoons, because if they did they would surely notice spooning only works when the spoons are exactly the same.
To all the people who leave comments/reviews with questions/requests: before you hit send/post/comment ask yourself a simple question: "would I like a response to that?" If the answer is "yes", then you'd better leave an email address. I'm just saying. In case you are reading this, person who prompted this, the answer is yes, you may translate the fic. Godspeed and have fun with it. :D
If all goes well I will have a working computer again, this week, which means I can finally get out all the My Little Ponies doodles that have been clawing their way to the surface. Yay! Much as I love my mac, it's on its way to silicon heaven, what with being over four years old and all.
Is anyone here familiar with OriginLab? I'm having problems with fitting an exponential function to data and it's driving me absolutely nuts.
