Freak out time!

Okay, whine.

Tomorrow night I'm going to the staff meeting, which involves an all-night journey. Which poses problem #1: all the laying down places were sold out. Had to get a regular ticket (our railway. There's no beating it). Got a first class, which ought to give me a chance for a seat. Nothing certain, but it might help. Which leaves me with problem #2: I will be arriving in Gdansk around 8 am. Correction: 9 am. Okay, this is marginally better, but still leaves me with about two hours in a city I barely know, on a religious holiday.

Please let McDonald's be open.

Problem #3: I need an UFO-themed costume. Stat. Don't ask.

Problem #4: I'm freaking out. Just a little. Don't mind me.

Problem #5: the two examy-thingies on Monday and Tuesday. Yay.

On a more positive note, I read Washington Square, which is a book, which means I am reading! Recording the fact to be remembered. My cynical soul says he wanted her for the money. There was a moment of doubt, but overall, I'm gonna say money.

I wonder if we have inflatable mattresses.

Aww, don't freak out. Look on it as an opportunity to spend a couple of hours getting to know a city you barely know - you can explore and find fabulous little shops and do the touristy sightseeing thing, or just find a park to read in, or whatever. Two hours isn't that long. So...scary, heading into the unknown. But potentially lots of fun. All the best!

Heh. It now turns out that going there isn't nowhere near the problem going back will be. Then I have close to 10 hours of time. Bonus point, then it's just a Sunday, so there should be plenty places open, cinemas included.

*Now* I'm freaking out. XD Especially since on Monday I have to be in school, for several tests. I wonder how will I pull that off.

You'll be okay. When it is all over, you will have tales to tell of how you survived public transport.

Good luck with the tests.

Sounds awfully like our railway! Hope the trip's not too vile.

Trust me, yours is fantastic compared to ours.

I made it a lot worse for myself, by not buying the ticket early enough. Especially the trip back.
