My eyes are glued to screens

I kind of avoided seeing Across the Universe, I don't really know why. No, I really have no idea why. It's fantastic. And, you know, Strawberry Fields Forever. <3 I loved it, start to finish, LSD-heavy artist flakes included. Freaky girls in the lake? Hell yeah! I might not be a walrus, but Bono makes a great impression of searching for the bucket, so there.
High School Musical 3, on the other hand, is all kinds of hilarious cringe-worthy amusement, even if Ryan and Kelsi, on their own, have more personality and likebility than Gabriella. Each of them gets maybe three to five minutes on screen. And I know this is a Disney flick, but there is something really wrong with Troy, if he brings a girl pizza and strawberries and lets himself be kicked out soon as the food is gone.
Finally, latest Supernatural made me very happy. <3 Bobby, naturally, is awesome, but much has been written about the awesome of Bobby and it's still only scratching the surface. Aside from the fan squee (Dean gets all the homosexual points this season, snicker, this including Sammy's Red Eyed Demon. Whom I'd gladly see again, he was cool), the episode was really nice, in terms of heartstrings tugged. And now another hiatus, in which we whine that the last time we saw the boys they were lying to each other's faces and GAH. I hate what you do to me, show. *sadface*
Come to think of it, how did Bobby expect them to find out if the other FBI guy was fishy? Call the Bureau and ask?

Date: 2009-02-09 06:38 am (UTC)Yes, in a nutshell. In exactly the same way that Monroe called their supposed office to check on them. He called it standard procedure, and the boys were so flustered at being so close to being caught out that it never occurred to them to check out his story - never occurred to them that he might be as fake as them. They were too busy trying to convince him they were real to question his story.

Date: 2009-02-09 03:20 pm (UTC)Bobby must have made the call immediately and set off at once - he wasn't home when Dean tried calling him after finding out Sam had slept with the doctor; he had to leave a message on voicemail, so I'm guessing Bobby was already on the road. Why he didn't just call to warn them would be another good question, but maybe he was afraid of tipping the siren off and making things worse? Not that they could have got any worse than they worked out anyway!
