Harper's Island was mildly interesting in the beginning, creepy killings and all (let's remember I'm not a huge fan of horror, unless it's the creepy right-around-the-corner-no-not-this-corner-Boo-heart-attack kind), but the finale was freaking awesome. Thoroughly creepy and wrong, and holy fuck, do I approve of creepy and wrong!

Yeah, so I am slightly morbid and so I adored Henry. Not only was he a creepy murderer with a plan, he had some spectacular acting skills and with it the adorable factor to pull it off. I won't pretend I suspected him from the start, but there was something in the way he was around Abby, that suggested she was the most important person to him. Wakefield was the token serial killer, enough talk, let's kill, blah blah. Thumbs up for Callum Keith, he did a swell job. Henry though, he was a killer, and he had puppy eyes! You gotta admire his dedication. <3

I am very happy Jimmy survived. Yay for cute fisherman boyfriend!

I was rather meh about Abby. I liked Trish and Shea a whole lot more. Then there were Cal and Chloe, who were just wonderful. They were the people I cared about the most, their devotion to one another was heart-warming, especially after the first two or so episodes, in which it was all vapid blonde and that-guy.

Bobby was pretty much Bobby. All he needed was a book on the occult and he'd be right at home.

Hee, Danny and Sully! Such good supporting characters, dicky at the start but you warm up to them.

All in all, a very satisfying series to watch. A tad lengthy, but good. :)

Oh, I absolutely loved Harper's Island. Started a little slowly, but then once it all really kicked off, boy did it kick off! There was a break in between episode 11 and the final 2, so I had a marathon rewatch, and settled on Henry as my chief suspect - during the rewatch there just seemed to be so many clues pointing at him, all circumstantial and innoccuous enough at the time, but in hindsight it seemed blindingly obvious that it couldn't be anyone else. I posted a long list on my journal - so was then both delighted and relieved to be proved right! He was so utterly insane, and yet always himself, even whem confessing to the worst things - even when committing murder. Chilling!

Cal and Chloe were my absolute favourites. I adored them from early on. It was obvious they were going to die - everyone was going to die - but I was so desperate for them to make it somehow. :(

Great show - so much fun.

I have read your post on HI. :) I can't say I suspected Henry, but a couple of things did stand out, like his attack on Shane, of J.D., even his reaction to the deer head was odd. I loved the last two episodes, hard! I have such a thing for psycho-killers! <3

I didn't pay too much attention at first, other than "poor Cal" when Sully was trying to get rid of him, but soon they both grew on me. They were genuine and just so loveable!

^____^ It was very fun!

I didn't suspect Henry at first - well, not any more than anyone else as the list of suspects got whittled down week by week. But when I rewatched the first episodes before the finale, all of a sudden he was so obvious - all these clues that had been so subtle the first time around they passed me by completely. Nice one, Show!
