Watch me study.

If it interests you to know, the diffusion of macromolecules can be described macroscopically with Fick's two equations. More or less.
I went to look at my exam in particle physics, and what do you know, I actually rocked it! I'd known I passed, but it turned out the only thing I got wrong was the fact that the spinorbitals don't come into play until you are starting to construct the actual function (i.e. late). Huh.
I'm having a totally CSI semester. Methods of biophysics lectures are a hoot, and just yesterday we were isolating DNA from bacteria. It's a lot less dramatic than Horatio has led me to believe. A lot less sunglasses were involved, also a lot less explosions. :( Plenty of waiting, though.
For some reason much of the CSI: Miami fandom (YEEEEEEAH!!) on ff.net is devoted to mpreg and vampire fics. Neither of which I mind, in moderation, but with a liberal application of filters (namely characters and "complete") the two combined amounted to about half the fics! Did I miss something?
I have still not finished the Casmund fic, but I have hit 50k in thirty days, 28.01 - 26.02), which makes up for me not doing NaNo in 2010. :D I have realised, somewhat belatedly, that chapters would make my life a lot easier. The whole thing is written in a continuous stream (okay, occasional scene change). It will be a nightmare to post/read online.
The ficlets are coming. I just need to pass this blasted exam first (it's on Monday). :(

Date: 2011-02-27 04:04 pm (UTC)The Reluctant Tourist is just topping 15K now, and I have about three chapters' worth left - I think it might hit 25K when I'm done. So far my longest fic was the 12K Elizabethan Koumyou/Ukoku I wrote for 7th Night, so I'm very pleased with being able to write a longer fic, especially when my work weeks have been at 45-48 hours for the last month or so.
Good luck with your exam!

Ha, I can't seem to shut up lately. XD I actually think it's on the short side so far, considering it's more or less a fantasy epic, but then again I am working with a ready made world and don't have to bother with histories and geography. The prequel though, oh boy. I planned for 2k, ended up with 22k. Yeah.
I rather like short fics. They let you fangirl wheeee and squeee and then they are done and you move to the next one. The long fics dominate your brain for daaaays and daaaaays, and inevitably they grow.
Thank you! <3
