Dec. 25th, 2003 10:27 pmChristmas time, mistletoe and wine...
Not mistletoe and not wine, but it sure as hell is Christmas. I'm pretty happy right now - and full two, hence the mood. Christmas was so much fun! Well, I was visiting a whole lot of people (family) but that's fine, since my family is pretty cool. ^_^ Okay, I may be in 'love you' mode (Christmas, duh!) but still.
I'm going away tomorrow. Skiing! Yay, there'll be loads of Gluehwein! Unfortunately loads of learning too, cause I need to learn everything about the British culture, till February. Life is sooo cool. Or at least it will be, until the next Monday, when I have to go to school again. Several deadlines are aproaching fast... hate deadlines. Especially when the work that is deadlined isn't the school-work, cause I can usually talk my way out of it. And what's worse I can't exactly take my work with me. -_-'. Jeez.
Recently I've had some interesting thoughts about Harry Potter, in confrontation with Gundam Wing. Well. I came to conclusion that HP books and the characters described are lazy selfish assholes. Let me elaborate: they basicly have the means to end the world hunger and diseases. But they chose to put all of their energy into stopping other people from knowing that they can do that. That basicly the only reason they educate people, right? The sole purpose of the Ministry's existance.
Now that we're on the subject of movies and stuff, I've been re-watching the Two Towers. I can't believe just how wimpy both Aragorn and Frodo are! I can just see it: 'The Lord of the Rings's main hero: Samwise Gamgee! Well, he is the only guy that can keep himself composed, more or less. Him and Legolas (who is also one hell of a cute guy) but the latter recently doesn't have anything to say. Sometimes he does, and it seems they made a cut on all of his quotes. Sure, he was more of a secondary character in the book, but hey. They've even robbed him of his Academy Award quote: 'Almost I feel young here, like I haven't felt since I journeyed with you children'. Sigh. He is pretty though.
