The obligatory fangirl movie

It is brilliant, really. And Omigosh, even without the sex it would be the most fangirl-y movie ever. o.O The way they keep glancing at each other throughout the first half is charged enough, especially in Jack's case. He got the sad longing look down to a tee. Ennis was just - adorable. I loved the part where they part after Brokeback for the first time and Jack is reluctant to leave, but Ennis brushes him off, cool as a cucumber, but then starts crying in a back alley. He sounds like his mouth was perpetually filled with cotton or paper though. *grunt* *grumble* *grunt* Undoubtedly, the whole thing was charged with sadness, on both fronts. My friend insisted Ennis' life was worse, but Jack's wasn't all that peachy keen either. The guy was shot down time after time, no surprise he felt a tad like a he got the short stick.
I thought the flashbacks were unnecessary, except for that one towards the end, when they say goodbye for the last time. Brilliant work with the scenery though.
I rather think the ending was fitting. There's not much closure, but heck, what closure could Ennis get at that point?
And I swear, if I hear 'gay cowboy movie' one more time, I'm going to scream.
