#1: We are supposed to sort the garbage. We have appropriately labelled bins in the (ridiculously small) kitchen, and it is pretty obvious where what goes: rubbish, recyclables sans glass and glass. Simple enough. So what is plastic doing in the rubbish bin?

#2: The net is acting weird. A few times a day the connection just spaces out, sometimes taking the Y!M with it. No idea why that happens.

#3: Did I mention the kitchen is ridiculously small? There's ten of us! Alright, the room itself is probably edequate, but the fridge is not. Two and a half lettuces and it's crowded, sheesh!

#4: First lecture tomorrow. Starting off the year with the Renaissance, and as far as I'm aware will be finishing off with the Renaissance as well. Have Shakespeare: Return of the Author next term, and yes, that's the official module title. *grins*

#5: Speaking of Shakespeare, today I found "Complete Works of WS" for 5 pounds. *thumbs up*

#6: I signed up for Chinese. First class tomorrow. It ought to be interesting.

Hah, I finished the pictures for the GW calendar! Now I'll just have to put them together. Of course it now turns out that I did one piece in 200dpi instead of 300, but unless it's supposed to be insanely huge it should be okay. Could someone clarify that?

okay, Kit Marlowe was allegedly a spy, part of the school of night and travelled a lot for her majesty.
anyway one night he and tom kyd after a lot of wine saw a shape that they described as a "silver Salver" or dish in the sky and they mentioned this to known nutter and court sorceror john dee (I'll come back to him in a minute) who was fascinated by it.
all of a sudden Thomas Kyd (who wrote the spanish tragedy) is imprisoned and tortured about what the records don't say
he gets out long enough to have a chat with marlowe and then prompty dies of complications.
marlowe is "killed" a few weeks later in a bar room brawl in an argument over the bill, but he had spent the day in a private room with known members of the night society days before a list of charges were to be brought against him.
it gets better, a lot of theorists will argue you blue in the face that marlowe was shakespeare and shakespeare retired after the tempest because Marlowe had legitimately died.
You will hear that theory a lot (there is actually a linguistic backing for it too) especially as if the charges in question had been brought against him he would have been tortured and murdered by the state.

now John Dee is worth mentioning seperately because he had these two stones, one was white and one was black, he said the white stone allowed him to talk to angels and the black stone to the devil.
the black stone was later proved to be the headpiece of the Aztec god Quetzcatlipoco, the smoking mirror and devourer of souls who was said to speak through the stone. John Dee didn't know that.
if the "silver salver" did crash the way the theory says it was brought to Dee and would explain the sudden surge in technology in that period.

but that's the conspiracy.
