Had the Chinese class yesterday. Good grief, whatever possessed me to go there! It's insane! Four, scratch that, five ways of saying a syllable, and each changes the meaning. *dies* Should have stuck to German, at least that's something I can comprehend. x.X

On the bright side, had a nice chat with the guy sitting next too me, about drawing, manga and Final Fantasy. *beams*

1. My favourite part of drawing is the sketching phase. I'm horribly sloppy with my sketches, so it's easy to see exactly what I want to see. Also, sketchy backgrounds look good. <3

2. My least favourite part is filling in the solids (speaking of CG, of course). Tedious and boring.

3. Once the lineart is done and solids are in, I usually find a horribly jarring anatomical mistake I absolutely hate. -______-

4. I hate backgrounds. Not being able to do them decently is one thing, I absolutely hate them. So I usually settle for gradients, patterns and filters. :D LAAAZY.

5. Towards the end I tend to rush, especially if I'm doing a picture in one sitting. This is Not Good. I resolve to correct it.

I started sketching this out a long while ago, got frustrated with the hair and let it rot. Then found it again last night and now I'm actually satisfied. *beams* Turns out that making it vertical instead of horizontal did it good. You can see a bigger version here.

I'm thinking it's a newly hatched fairy. Wings still growing out and all. On the other hand, the posture suggest a pregnant fairy. Now I'm confused. LOL.

*scuttles back to Photoshop*

... I am not seriously writing the Jusenkyou Saiyuki fic, am I? x____X

She is very pretty. Nice skin tones and the hair is flowingin the breeze. I like the kanji on her hip as well. Might I inquire what it stands for?

^_____^ I had plenty of fun with this, even though family was looking at me funny. Thank you. <3

The kanji is "storm". I hope. o.O

Ouch. I have to look forward to this? Hell Chinese and Japanese with at least hirgana and kanji--I will be blubbering in terror.

Well, you can say say something either flatly, raising, falling and then raising and falling. Plus there's the unstressed way. o.O I might have screwed up the order.

Oh, and if that's too simple, when a word/phrase requires two consecutive syllables to be said in the third tone ( \/ ), the first is said in the second ( / ).

*grins at you* Though I daresay the melody helps.
