Bread without crust has to be the most retarded thing I have ever seen. Honestly, what's next? "Cheese sandwich! Chewed for your convenience!" "Here, buy this empty doughnut wrapper! Only 10p per pack, and you won't have eaten a doughnut!"
I'm not a big fan of toast bread. I like toasties just fine, no questions there. But the bread is just an excuse for filling, not an actual stuff to eat. I miss the leaven bread. *sulks* And don't let me get started on brown, crunchy crust. *wants*

Date: 2006-11-04 12:00 am (UTC)i like toast bread, i normally buy hovis medium but i always buy one loaf of hovis extra thick for toast, because it's great toast, you can toast it on one side (as i prefer my toast) and it's still cold on the other. yumm.
you can get leaven bread in marks and spencer, we call it wheaten. It's Irish leaven bread and it's to die for slathered with thick lurpak natural butter (the one with salt in it)
now you've made me want to make wholemeal soda bread.
the english don't appreciate food, you may have ntoiced that by now, it goes in and the more process the better.
I feel your pain

Date: 2006-11-04 03:02 am (UTC)Really? I'm gonna have to check it out then. Out of all the foodstuffs, I miss bread the most. Possibly because it's such an everyday thing. And fresh wheaten bread with butter, yummmmmmmm.
