a. My favorite thing about that character: the braid. No so much in itself, but hell, when a teenaged boy has the balls to carry his hair in a braid like that, that's gotta tell you plenty about his attitude.

b. My least favorite thing about that character: the clown persona. I'm not a big fan of brash people, even when it is just a mask.

c. One person I would ship them with in their own verse: I am a pretty devout 1x2 shipper, though I have a slight fetish for Duo with Wufei.

d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat: Duo/Sanzo.

e. One crossover universe for them I think would be even neater: Yami no Matsuei. Duo would pwn the hell out of the whiny shinigamis.

Mortal coil is the human world, I believe. It apparently comes from Hamlet's "shuffle off the mortal coil" meaning to die. My dictionary tells me it's chiefly in humorous contexts.

I was really apathetic towards Hakkai at the beginning and when I started reading fanfic it only got worse. It wasn't until I stumbled upon your 'Ain't Coming Back' that I started seeing him in a diff. light. After which he became epic.

Strangely enough I was pretty apathetic towards Hakkai too, but in my defence I started with the anime. He is tons more interesting in the manga, and then along came the flashbacks and I was sold. :) He is an evil, psychopathic bastard, and he is on the "good" side - I'm a complete sucker for evil protagonists.
