Hm... I think this may be my first post of 2010!
So, what's new? I pretty much passed chemistry (not the exam yet), though am considering retaking the test, to get a better overall grade. I've got straight As for the lab exercises, but Cs for the test, which unfortunately count towards 66% of the grade. :(
Much as I love Photoshop, it's not the most computer-friendly graphic software. I have been testing Seashore, which is usable, but only a step above Paint. Now, if anyone has any recommendation, I would love to hear them. I need software (preferably free) that reacts to pen pressure, has layers (though I'm flexible about that) and most importantly works on a Mac. I tried ChocoFlop, too, and it looks pretty good, though it is just a preview and works kinda weird.
I know there is someone on my Flist who watches Dollhouse. Now I'm of the opinion the show turned out splendid, especially the latter part of the second season - everything falls apart nicely. Especially in last night's episode. :) It also works best if you ignore everything you know about Joss Whedon shows, mind. There's little funnies, little snark, plenty of existentialism, existentialist angst and mind-screwing.

I don't much care for cell-shading. It's annoying!
Why yes, there is a storyline attached to it, why do you ask?
... for the love of god, someone take it off my hands (and head)!

Date: 2010-01-10 12:57 pm (UTC)I agree, Echo kind of bugs me too (it's the idealism and the Cause. People with Causes always bug me), but she has a few qualities that link her to Goku strongly. She has a personality that's resilient to any programming and changes, has pretty strong protective instincts, there are aspects of her that she has to struggle with, not to kill everyone, she has enough charisma for people to be drawn to her.
And yet I make Sanzo the doll. *shakes head*

Well, if I were hiring one of the ikkou as a sex toy, it would be him! *g*

Date: 2010-01-10 01:55 pm (UTC)*nods* That makes sense. The problem I've had all the way through with Dollhouse is that it's been far too thinky. As if Joss started with an idea rather than an emotion. Even the emotions we did get felt grafted on - particularly with Echo.

Date: 2010-01-10 04:12 pm (UTC)Trouble with Paul and Echo was that the first one was another cause at work, and Echo was someone else in each episode, which didn't help.
Hm, I did love the premise (screwing with brains? I am so there), so I was determined to stick it out. I'm glad I did. :>
